Nexus nets Tea Council account

Nexus Communications has scooped the £500,000 Tea Council PR account and is set to push the drink among health professionals and patients over the summer in a drive to position it as healthy.

‘There are a lot of urban myths about tea’s nutritional value, so some appropriate education is needed,’ said Tea Council executive director Bill Gorman.

A broader consumer PR campaign will follow later in the year to target 20 to 35-year-old women.

Nexus won the three-year contract in a four-way pitch that included Cohn & Wolfe.
