Goldrick takes top Pfizer UK role

US drugs giant Pfizer has opted to promote internally as it fills its top UK and Ireland PR job.

Europe corporate media relations senior director Colette Goldrick has won a battle for the job of corporate and public affairs director at the firm, behind products such as anti-impotence brand Viagra, that is understood to have involved both internal and external candidates.

Goldrick replaces Miranda Kavanagh who quit in March (PRWeek, 12 March) from the firm’s most senior UK comms position.

Prior to joining Pfizer in 2001, Goldrick, who was unavailable for comment, worked at rival pharma giant GlaxoSmithKline.
