Four wins deal at Fujitsu Siemens

Fujitsu Siemens Computers has hired Four Communications to handle its consumer and small office/home office account after a non-competitive pitch.

The newly created six-figure brief will see Four join Firefly Communications on the company’s roster. Firefly will continue to handle B2B and trade PR.

Four will concentrate on three initiatives: Life Books laptops with a campaign called Get a Lifebook; a subscription service titled Connect to Air; and the Home Computing Range (HCR).

Connect to Air is a joint venture with Vodafone, offering laptops that connect to the internet without a landline or mobile phone. HCR is a government tax-break scheme to reward people who buy IT for homeworking.

Four partner Einir Williams said a major factor in securing the contract was Four consumer head Steve Gebbett, who worked with Fujitsu Siemens marketing director Nick Eades a decade ago when Gebbett was at Charles Barker and Eades was a client at IBM.
