Derbyshire fights violence at home

Derbyshire County Council has launched a campaign to reduce the number of incidents of domestic abuse across the region.

Stop Hurting aims to highlight the support and information that is available for victims of domestic abuse – mainly women – and to encourage them to seek help.

The council will work closely with agencies across Derbyshire that provide services to victims, their children and the perpetrators of domestic violence. It will give extra support to agencies across the county during the campaign.

As well as ensuring victims know where to get help, the campaign aims to get the message across to perpetrators that their behaviour is unacceptable.

The awareness campaign will be supported by posters, stickers, beer mats and leaflets over the next 12 months.
