National Trust to probe gardeners

The National Trust is kicking off a nationwide PR campaign to determine the best method for growing roses organically.

The trust is targeting specialist gardening press and gardening sections of national newspapers with information about how gardeners can take part in its online

Organic Rose Watch survey, launching this week at the Chelsea Flower Show. It plans to publicise its findings to the media in the autumn.

The survey is part of a project set up by the trust, Roses UK and the Henry Doubleday Research Association to investigate commercial and environmental concerns about the future of UK roses.
