Public sector and manufacturing consultancy Linx Associates has been hired to raise the profile of London’s manufacturing industry among key opinion-formers through a lobbying campaign over 12 months.
The campaign will begin following the results of a perception survey carried out among key influencers by Communicate Research.
Influencers will include MPs, MEPs, London Development Agency, the Department of Trade and Industry and CEOs in general, according to London Chamber of Commerce head of press Dan Bridgett.
‘Both contracts are in place to bulwark existing lobbying work undertaken by Made in London executives based at London Chamber of Commerce,’ he said.
Made in London has lobbied extensively on issues such as transport, taxation and red tape and offers publicity services to the manufacturing sector through its in-house press and publicity team.
Bridgett added that the objective would also be to ‘highlight how central Made in London is to supporting the needs of the manufacturing sector, which accounts for about 12 per cent of the London economy’.
