Maggs to take on Crisis media role

Homelessness charity Crisis has hired Lucy Maggs as head of media and comms.

Maggs joins on 14 June from Haymarket Publishing, publisher of PRWeek, where she is editor of Third Sector, a weekly magazine for charity professionals.

She will report to director of comms and campaigning Mark Flannagan.

Crisis’s current media chief, Naomi Fuller, will be taking maternity leave until February.

Maggs has worked for Third Sector for four-and-a-half years, joining as a finance reporter. ‘It’s an opportunity to put to use all the media skills I have acquired in a different context and for a very good cause,’ said Maggs.

Prior to joining Third Sector, Maggs was features writer for Financial Times publication Financial Adviser.
