Radiator to plug Youth Music festival and DJ links

Charity Youth Music has brought in Radiator PR to promote its collaborations with UK music festivals and celebrity DJs.

Work started this week promoting Youth Music’s tie-in with dance music event Homelands Music Festival at the end of May.

The agency will promote several projects, including music workshops being held at Homelands by BBC Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood.

It will also promote a Youth Music competition to give two winners the chance to be the first acts to perform at Homelands.

Radiator is also to plug ‘Donate a Date’, a scheme to encourage bands and DJs to donate their time to educate young people about their experiences.

PR for the music festivals will be run through local and music media, such as DJ and Mixmag.

At the same time, the Donate a Date scheme will be promoted through a cross-section of media including classical music magazine Gramophone.

Youth Music was set up in 1999 with £10m of Lottery funding to encourage youths into music.
