An initial two-year agreement enables Business Wire to distribute its clients’ text and photo media releases to more than 800 broadcast and press outlets outside the US that subscribe to AP, at no additional cost in 2004.
Business Wire vice-president of global media Neil Hershberg said that while the two companies have agreements in the US, AP has ‘always had very stringent standards to gain access to its international network’.
Business Wire has agreements with various content providers in most individual markets, but the deal provides pan-European and Asia-Pacific coverage for the first time, said Hershberg.
