Anupama Gupta, who was head of southern operations for Hanmer over the past three years, has moved to Dubai to oversee the operations of the new set-up.
On its first international expansion, Hanmer & Partners managing director Sunil Gautam said the Middle East is in transformation and presents many opportunities, 'and we want to be there, be a part of that transformation, taking the client brands closer to the emerging consumer.'
He added 'There are clients in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries needing PR services in India and the UAE. Also there are clients who need PR in the GCC countries.' GCC countries include Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE.
IAS, created in 1992, represents Indian and international media houses including The Times Group, Star TV Network, Sony Television ,Condenast Traveller, Vogue and Gulf Air Inflight.
Hanmer & Partners clients include Monsanto India, Western Union Money Transfer and Ambit Corporate Finance. The five year old firm has 11 offices in India.
