Eurotunnel drops all PR advisers

Eurotunnel has axed all of its external PR advisers as the company’s new management shakes up commercial and financial communications.

A spokesman for the firm confirmed that it had ended a two-year relationship with deals specialist Brunswick and terminated a similar contract with ad group Euro RSCG Worldwide. He added that all future comms would be handled in-house.

Eurotunnel is renegotiating its £6.4bn debt following the ousting of the company’s management at an acrimonious shareholder meeting last month.

Shareholders replaced the Eurotunnel Anglo-French board, led by chief executive Richard Shirrefs, with a French management team led by chairman Jacques Maillot and chief executive Jean-Louis Raymond.
