Diary: Hit or Miss... Royal Mail

Last week's Channel 4 Dispatches documentary Third Class Post has created a PR nightmare for Royal Mail. Dispatches showed employees demanding overtime pay to work their normal shifts and gave the impression of a chaotic management culture at sorting offices. Royal Mail's PR department will have its work cut out to convince the public that the much-touted 'restructuring' will be able to combine cuts with the maintenance of service levels. As talks with the unions continue over commercialisation, there will be busy times ahead for CEO Adam Crozier and chairman Allan Leighton.
