Diary: CDR bosses face up to Paxman's wrath

City PROs will be glued to their TVs next Monday when University Challenge featuring four bosses from Citigate Dewe Rogerson will be screened on BBC2.

CDR managing directors Deborah Saw and Suzy Frith and directors David Westover and Andrew Robinson are representing the PR industry in a pre-recorded edition of the game show, which goes out at 8.30pm on 10 May.

The team is up against the Zoological Society and the wilting sneer of host Jeremy Paxman, who Saw says didn't give them too hard a time - beyond urging them to hurry up by 'using their black arts'.

Saw goes all coy when asked whether CDR won, but she does let slip that the team swotted up before the show on what she considers their weak spots: science and, er, maths.

'We're very good on economics,' Saw retorts. 'But our grip on Fermat's Theorem is not what it should be.' CDR clients should tune in.
