The website application, JournalistPressLounge, is designed to act as an online virtual press office and media centre.
The site, which has built-in links to newspapers and media organisations, offers a framework for communications and aims to help companies and charities serve up media-ready information. Non-profit firms will have free use of the service.
JournalistPressLounge also features a ‘news tickertape’ carrying the latest five news releases on the organisation, background information, internal and external events information and research.
WorldPressLounge director James Nunn said ‘very few’ websites catered for journalists. ‘We’ve built a framework that nudges organisations into the media space,’ he added.
