Oliver hook puts Greenwich on TV

Greenwich Council is planning a national PR blitz to promote school meals in the area after playing host to TV chef Jamie Oliver and his new series on school dinners.

The series for Channel 4, entitled Jamie’s School Dinners, will see Oliver talk to children at Kidbrooke School in Greenwich about their likes and dislikes about school meals, and steer them towards healthy options.

Filming started two weeks ago and will finish at the beginning of June, with broadcast expected in the autumn.

Greenwich Council head of comms Katrina Delaney said: ‘We’ve resisted reality programmes but here we have some editorial control. Once filming ends we will go national with publicity.’
