Boomerang plans consumer drive

Postcard media company Boomerang is set to use consumer media to promote its advertising platform with a national competition to find a £50,000 golden boomerang.

Boomerang has hired Frank PR to create discussion among radio DJs, TV chat shows and national press to publicise the competition that will see clues printed on postcards over eight weeks from 10 May.

Frank joint managing director Andrew Bloch said news agenda-grabbing activity would centre on ‘controversial claims’ about the boomerang and stunts.

Boomerang expects to distribute more than one million postcards carrying clues to the whereabouts of the boomerang, which was fashioned by the Queen’s jewellers Benny’s Jewellers.

The campaign will also target advertising trade press and the nationals to highlight Boomerang’s tenth anniversary this year.
