McDonald’s China brief for Ketchum
HONG KONG: McDonald’s China Development Corporation (CDC) has hired Ketchum Newscan after a four-way pitch to secure its PR business that involves media relations, issues
management and CSR activities.
CDC senior director of corporate communications Marina Leung said that Ketchum’s record on ad hoc projects for the fast-food retailer helped the agency clinch the account, as well as its network of offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Ketchum defeated CDC incumbents Hill & Knowlton and Octagon, as well as Professional Public Relations Asia.
