Warrington plans education drive

Warrington Council is planning to launch a public consultation campaign to ask people in education how to improve the service.

Due to kick off in September, the Big Ed campaign, led by strategic director of education and life-long learning Malcolm Roxburgh, will include a consultation exercise targeting all the teachers, parents, school pupils and mature students in the area.

The ten best ideas will be posted on a website to which people will be directed to cast their votes, and the winning idea will be implemented by the education department.

Council PROs are creating a character, Big Ed, to feature throughout the publicity drive until November.
