Jawa is to take up the dual roles of chief financial officer and chief operating officer next week, taking on all of the responsibilities formerly held by Mulvihill and Jacobs. Jawa reports to FD chief executive Charles Watson.
Watson said FD had unified the roles of COO and CFO to create an operational management function that would allow him to concentrate on work with clients and business development.
Prior to joining corporate finance house Hawkpoint in 2002, Jawa was interim chief operating officer at European venture capital firm Conduit Ventures. He was also chief financial officer and compliance director at Frontiers Capital between 2000 and October 2001.
From 1991 to 2000, Jawa worked as finance director and then chief of staff for the European business of Barclays Global Investors.
