Diary: PN pub quiz is one for the tech heads

Gangs of hacks from the trade publishing sector trotted through Soho last week to get to Porter Novelli's pub quiz and use their hardened knowledge to win points and prizes.

Apart from the PRWeek crew, the audience (and hosts) were teched up to the eyeballs, but with a great deal of help and a little bit of cheating, PRWeek romped home in first place, leaving the competition reeling. Possibly thanks to director Jean Wyllie who joined the PRWeek table to share her knowledge of all things technical.

The only snag was an ironic momentary technical glitch when asking questions to the eager crowd, the microphone broke.

However, with spirits high, the soiree descended into what can only be described as pure carnage as the entire PN tech division dived into the Karaoke Box to polish off the evening with umpteen rounds of Rolling Stones songs.

A PR soiree with much satisfaction.
