M co-founder Hugh Morrison is leading the account, aided by consultants Nick Fox and Gemma Knowles. M reports to Dealogic co-founder and non-executive chairman Peter Ogden and chief executive officer Tom Fleming.
Cazenove is the broker to the flotation, which is expected to take place some time in May.
‘The placing will provide a market and a value for the firm’s ordinary shares, which should help the group attract and retain high-calibre employees,’ said Morrison. ‘The placing should also raise the status and market profile of the group and promote greater awareness of the Dealogic name.’
Dealogic was set up in 1983 by Ogden, Simon Hessel and Philip Hulme. Hessel plans to sell half his holding in the flotation while the other founders are to keep their stakes in the company.
Dealogic designs and markets financial information and software aimed at investment banks and brokers. In the year to 31 December 2003, Dealogic reported a turnover of £28.3m and a pre-tax profit of £11.8m.
