The Advanced Professional Diploma (APD) in Public Affairs course will commence in London at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising on 6 May, consisting of nine teaching days spread over five months.
The course will aim to improve professionalism in PA by offering a route to a recognised qualification.
APD course leader Liz Yeomans said the course covers basic PA theory, practical lobbying as a core practice, and would cover political systems in the UK, EU and the US. ‘It is largely aimed at people in the public affairs industry. We see it as part of continuing professional development,’ she said.
