Former CPR chief takes PN position

NEW YORK: Porter Novelli has appointed former CPR Worldwide New York office chief Stephanie Stamatakou as senior vice-president at its healthcare practice.

Stamatakou will lead the agency’s work on its global and US Aventis oncology account, which includes the Taxotere and Genosense brands, working alongside PN global healthcare practice director Michael Durand.

She reports to Kate Cronin, practice director in New York, where the Omnicom-backed agency has a healthcare team of around 60 staff.

Stamatakou quit healthcare agency CPR, where she ran an eight-strong bureau, two weeks ago (PRWeek, 26 March). Prior to CPR, where she worked for less than a year, Stamatakou worked at Burson-Marsteller in London and at Hill & Knowlton in London and Athens.
