DCA on lookout for comms head

The Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA), which handled media enquiries about the Hutton Report, is seeking a comms director to replace Allan Percival, who is retiring.

Created last June, the department is looking to develop a new communications strategy in the wake of the Phillis Report on government communications.

Percival’s replacement will be expected to work closely with ministers and lead the DCA’s management team. They will have overall responsibility for external media and internal Whitehall communications, with a remit to ensure that communications becomes an integrated part of the DCA’s activity.
