It has appointed Per Mikael Jensen as V-P, international editor-in-chief and is recruiting several journalists to produce articles such as interviews with major international figures.
Jensen said the service was particularly useful for global product launches and CEO interviews, or to target particular regions such as Europe. He added that Metro titles have a particularly strong readership with 18 to 40-year-olds.
Although it does not have a UK presence (London’s daily Metro is published
by Associated Newspapers), Metro International publishes in 16 countries.
