Beattie to boost Collagenics chain

UK firm Collagenics, specialist in non-surgical facial cosmetic treatments, is to launch a PR push as it bids to raise awareness of procedures such as Botox and collagen.

Collagenics has hired Beattie Communications to both boost the profile of its brand and also to encourage entrepreneurs to set up Collagenics franchises.

Doncaster-based Collagenics runs more than 160 clinics across the country, working within firms such as salon group Saks Hair & Beauty.

Saks also hired Beattie late last year (PRWeek, 20 November 2003), but the Collagenics remit was secured after a separate pitch.

Both Collagenics and Saks were formerly promoted by Brand PR.

Beattie associate director Ann Cunnane said that ‘more people are looking

for safer, effective and less drastic cosmetic alternatives to the surgeon’s knife’.
