Lafayette on hunt for European PR

US DVD and home cinema company Lafayette Electronics is planning talks with PR agencies across several European markets as it prepares for its launch across the Continent.

Last Friday, Lafayette launched its DVD products into the British market at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show using technology PR firm icas PR.

Icas is running a £100,000 account that also involves advising Lafayette on the recruitment of PR advice for its roll-out across Europe, which is planned to begin with a tour of the Continent next month.

Icas managing director Carl Courtney is leading the account and reports to Lafayette commercial director Stuart Whittaker.

Courtney said the hunt for European PR support would begin with members of Public Relations Organisation International (PROI).

Icas is also briefed with promoting Lafayette’s DVD, home cinema, and liquid crystal display products to the consumer and trade

press in the UK. Lafayette’s target market is 25 to 44-year-old men.
