Mainland wins LIA awareness remit

LIA, the UK’s largest financial advisers body, has launched a PR drive to improve the industry’s image in the consumer and financial adviser trade press and raise awareness of new standards among its 20,000 members.

Financial services firm Mainland is handling the account, which is led by founder Neil Mainland.

A five-year restructuring plan will see LIA put in place a code of practice and disciplinary procedure before 2007. If approved later this month, the plan will also see head of PA John Ellis’s role elevated to board level.
