Carnegie lands Streetwork job

Edinburgh-based homeless charity Streetwork UK has hired Carnegie UK to handle its fundraising events comms strategy throughout 2004.

The charity intends to raise its profile throughout Scotland and appointed Carnegie as it first retained PR agency after a three-way pitch for the account.

Carnegie’s biggest task will be to promote the charity’s Halloween Ball in October, when celebrities will take part in a massive sleepover in Edinburgh’s dungeons to raise money for the homeless.

The agency was also hired to raise awareness about Streetwork’s current campaigns, including its Dash Coffee initiative, to train the homeless to work in street coffee booths.
