The company has brought in Hudson Sandler to handle financial communications and raise its profile with City investors.
Hudson Sandler director Nick Lyon is leading the account and reports to both Brookes and Immedia sales and marketing director Sara Haynes.
Hudson Sandler took part in the pitch of the AIM listing work last year, but lost out to Buchanan Communications. Buchanan’s contract terminated after the flotation in December and Immedia invited Hudson Sandler to pitch against Firefly Communications for a new financial and trade press account.
Haynes said that the firm had switched to Hudson Sander because most of the account would involve financial communications, although the firm will also be expected to target the trade press.
‘We wanted someone who could bridge the gap between trade and financial,’ said Haynes.
She added that much of the financial communications would be an ‘educative process’ of explaining the new market in live in-store radio.
Immedia provides live in-store radio to 1,300 Lloyds Pharmacy stores and last December signed a deal with Dixons to provide the electrical retailer with live radio in its shops. Last month the Dixons Live trial was extended for another three months.
Meanwhile, Hudson Sandler has promoted director Andrew Hayes to the new position of chief executive. Hudson Sandler chairman Michael Sandler said the role had been created to take on some of the extra duties thrown up by the firm’s expansion.
