Hopson left the firm last week to start PR business Real Good Idea (RGI), which will attempt to push ideas along from conception through to the patenting process and then to market.
Hopson arrived at B-M just seven months ago to assume a newly created position. He had held the top post at rival Publicis Dialog.
‘The job wasn’t quite what I expected,’ he said. ‘But having been on the inside, there’s not a better agency.’
B-M will replace Hopson but has not established a timetable for doing so.
The agency is also searching for a replacement for Burchett.
Hopson launched Publicis Dialog in 1998, following the acquisition by Publicis Group of EvansGroup, where he was president and COO.
