GBCS database to track e-media

GBCS PR has expanded its press release distribution service that targets websites and automatically tracks the online coverage achieved to include pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.

GBCS account manager Trevor Palmer said it had developed a database of hundreds of industry-specific website editorial contacts.

The service acts like a news wire and then measures which websites run articles, with data available within 24 hours.

He claimed the system increased coverage for telecoms and IT clients such as Pirelli and Siemens by more than 50 per cent and added that ClinPhone has trailed the pharmaceutical and biotechnology database.

Palmer said firms can still target specific media and databases are constantly updated.

GBCS is also developing databases in other areas such as finance, he added.
