GS has been asked to research other recycling campaigns across the UK and Europe and present ideas to a series of focus groups in the next two weeks.
‘What we’ve done so far is to provide support for local authorities already doing recycling schemes,’ said WAW co-ordinator Brian Mayne. ‘We want something above that to drive home a national message.’
GS won the £50,000 contract, effective until the end of March, after a pitch against Resource Publishing, Ontrack and Save Waste and Prosper, bidding jointly with Ainsworth & Parkinson Marketing Communications.
WAW will hold at least one pitch for a wider campaign at the end of March, which will aim to raise awareness of recycling and waste management issues within Wales.
