DIARY: Future is orange for Luther Pendragon

Hanging around in a tropical paradise in Indonesian Borneo does not fall within the remit of a typical PRO.

But then again, public affairs firm Luther Pendragon's latest recruit is not your typical PRO.

As a 19-month-old orangutan, Trista would have trouble shmoozing political hacks and dressing up company policies.

Luckily, Luther Pendragon, which was awarded sponsorship of Trista by office paper recycling company Paper Round in recognition of its proactive recycling policy, has decided to take on these tasks for her.

Trista joins the firm a month before the launch of its 'Living with Mammals' campaign for the Mammals Trust, for which the agency will be asking volunteers to note down and report the wild mammals they see in urban areas.

An unfortunate coincidence for Trista? Not at all. The orangutan will remain at her home in Tanjung Putting National Park to enjoy the 'brilliant crimson sunsets' and 'canopies of tropical forest' described on the Mammals Trust website.
