CONSUMER PR: August.One Communications’ consumer arm, Joe Public, is promoting a UK campaign to promote energy drink Lipovitan. The campaign will promote Lipovitan as a health and ‘wellbeing’ drink. The account is led by director Sally Hetherington, who reports to Lipovitan marketing manager Alex Armstrong.

TECHNOLOGY: Text 100 has opened its second office in China.

TECHNOLOGY: Video games publisher Ubisoft’s UK consumer PR manager Andy Woolnough has quit to join tech PR agency Fourth Day. Specialist games PR manager Faye O’Donohue has replaced Woolnough.

CONSUMER PR: The Co-operative Group has hired Band & Brown Communications on a project basis to promote Co-operative Funeralcare, its funeral services business. The agency hire follows a PR review that kicked off more than a year ago.

CONSUMER PR: Starfish Communications is to launch a PR campaign for start-up online DVD rental brand Lovefilm is spending £100,000 on PR for the launch, expected in the spring.

CSR CONFERENCE: The Institute of Public Relations and the Judge Institute of Management are to hold a half-day conference on corporate social responsibility. Speakers include MORI head of CSR research Jenny Dawkins.

SCOTTISH PRCA: Porter Novelli Scotland MD Angela Casey has been appointed chair of the Scottish Public Relations Consultants Association (SPRCA), the body that represents PR consultancies in Scotland.
