QinetiQ hires Mori’s Louth-Davies to boost profile

QinetiQ, the science and technology research public-private partnership, has appointed opinion pollster Mori head of marketing and comms Nicky Louth-Davies as head of media relations and corporate affairs.

She is charged with boosting QinetiQ’s profile following initiatives such as the QinetiQ1 world balloon altitude record attempt last September.

Louth-Davies joins next week and replaces former QinetiQ head of media relations Joanna Sale, who opted not to return after going on maternity leave last March.

‘The biggest issue is to develop understanding of the science and the brilliant solutions QinetiQ can provide,’ said Louth-Davies.

The organisation wants to highlight to the media its research and will target CEOs, financial and technology officers in companies in the healthcare, transport and IT sectors, as well as the general public.

Louth-Davies heads a team of four media relations managers, two press officers and parliamentary affairs consultant Nick Comfort, and reports to group director of marketing Brenda Jones.

QinetiQ has used The Red Consultancy for media relations projects for the past year.
