The company, headquartered in Sydney and already listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, has appointed Gavin Anderson to handle financial PR for the flotation of Novera Energy Europe.
GA director and ex-British Energy director of investor relations Ken Cronin is leading the account.
Shareholders in Novera agreed the flotation plan at Novera’s annual general meeting on 30 January. The firm has since appointed broker Collins Stewart and will go to listing later this year.
Last September, Novera announced its first operating profit after increased production from its UK landfill gas operations. The company also said management control of its European businesses would be moved to the UK, with executive chairman David Scaysbrook moving here in December.
The company has also received commission for nine new UK landfill gas power plants and is building other gas power plants and upgrading gas field wells in the UK.
Novera Europe was formed by the merger of Primergy, Ambient Energy, CPL Energy and Novera Europe in 2002. The company operates about 20 landfill sites generating a total of 57 megawatts of electricity.
