South Africa bids to boost tourism

South African Tourism (SAT) has launched a media relations blitz to reposition the country as a year-round holiday destination and boost UK visitor numbers.

The body has teamed up with South African Airways for the ‘Sunsation 2004’ campaign, which aims to encourage UK travellers to explore more of the country.

Trade, national and regional journalists will be targeted with press trips scheduled for four provinces.

The PR push is being handled by College Hill, which has promoted South Africa in the UK since 2002 (PRWeek, 15 November 2002).
