Lee, who was formerly deputy MD, fills a role that has been overseen by European healthcare MD Mark Cater since May last year. Lee joined Ketchum from Chandler Chicco Agency last May, her arrival coinciding with Cater’s promotion (PRWeek, 1 May 2003).
Ketchum London CEO David Gallagher said the agency’s healthcare practice had shown ‘double-digit growth’ in the past eight months and had grown from 40 to 50 staff.
Last December GlaxoSmithKline gave Ketchum the UK contract to promote its entire respiratory business (PRWeek, 5 December 2003). The portfolio was formerly held by Countrywide Porter Novelli.
Ketchum London also works for Pfizer’s anti-cholesterol drug Lipitor,
AstraZeneca’s blood pressure treatment Atacand and on Roche’s HIV portfolio.
