The agency will provide a package of services including media relations, media training and the production of promotional materials, according to Lu Fernandes, president of Escritorio.
Fernandes will manage a team of two, reporting to Aventis marketing director Eduardo Arce.
According to Fernando, Aventis picked Escritorio following meetings with several local agencies. There was no formal pitch process. 'The fact that we have experience in providing services to the Ministry of Health definitely contributed to our hiring,' said Fernandes.
Aventis Pasteur has 100 sales and marketing staff in Brazil. One of Escritorio's first tasks will be to promote the company's technology transferring agreement with local vaccine institute Butantan.
