Vimto PR account changes hands

Soft-drinks brand Vimto is set for a consumer PR push featuring stunts, sampling and schools activity following an agency overhaul.

Brazen PR and Citigate Smarts have been appointed by Vimto Soft Drinks for PR work understood to have an overall value of £200,000. The bulk will go on a fresh consumer PR blitz handled by Brazen.

Citigate will handle trade PR for the brand, which comprises cordial, carbonate and ready-to-drink ranges.

Citigate has also scooped a trade PR account for VSD’s Sunkist, Indigo and Rani brands.

Former PR agency for Vimto Soft Drinks, Companycare Communications continues to represent owner Nichols plc’s Nichols Foods and Cabana Soft Drinks – and works on a corporate remit.

No external consumer PR support is currently agreed for Sunkist, Indigo and Rani.
