West Lothian in college PR boost

West Lothian College has appointed Edinburgh agency Halogen Communications as it faces increased competition for funding and students.

The appointment was made for an initial six months, after which the college will decide whether to continue with an external agency.

Account manager Rosemary Mercedes said the brief is to raise the college’s profile locally and nationally, develop and implement a communications plan, and provide media relations and advice. The account will be led by Halogen development director Raymond Robertson, reporting to the college’s principal and CEO Sue Pinder.
