Gooderham has rejoined WS Public Affairs under its strategic media group. He will report to the group’s co-heads Michael Prescott and Peter Morgan as a director.
Gooderham joined Bell Pottinger in October 2003 where he worked on, among others, the McDonald’s account which Bell Pottinger won from WS in July 2003.
Prescott said of Gooderham: ‘There are few people around who can match the quality of his advice, creativity, and hands-on senior level experience.’
He added that people Gooderham had worked with included ‘a cast list of some pretty impressive figures, including Archie Norman, Lord Bell and Maurice Saatchi’.
The WS strategic media group works for, among others, Microsoft, IKEA and Balfour Beatty and regional development agency Advantage West Midlands.
Gooderham, who has also worked in TV production on both the Dimbleby programme and at LWT, was chief media spokesman for Michael Portillo MP from 2000 to 2001.
