Reh Kendermann lures agency staffer for new role

German wine producer Reh Kendermann, the firm behind brands such as Black Tower and Weight Watchers Riesling, has hired the account head at its retained PR agency as its first head of press and PR.

Phipps PR associate director Trisha Booth will join in March in the newly created role, where she will report to export director (Europe and overseas) Liz Stich.

Stich said she wanted a ‘full-time, dedicated’ in-house PRO, adding that although Phipps would no longer work on a retained contract they would be ‘first choice’ for project PR work.

Booth has headed the Kendermann account for more than four years, working on brands including Black Tower, River Route and Kendermanns.

* In a separate move, Phipps has scooped the PR account to promote beer brand Holsten UK.

The account, which will see Phipps promoting the six-brand UK portfolio, was held previously by Cohn & Wolfe. The agency reports to Holsten UK director of marketing Ben Peters.
