PR makeover for Jersey potatoes

Jersey Royal potatoes are to get a PR makeover aimed at a younger generation in a fresh media relations campaign launching this April.

The island government’s economic development committee, which handles promotion of the product, is for the first time targeting 25 to 44-year-olds.

The committee has hired Cairns & Associates to

drive interest among journalists including press trips to the island.

The PR push forms part of a £920,000 campaign, which includes TV advertising for the first time in two years.
