Tech firms ‘send out wrong info’

Most IT journalists and analysts think tech companies are sending out the wrong information, according to a survey by NOP.

Half of those surveyed said they didn’t just want product details, but more information about company vision and strategic focus, and how they expect to make customers more profitable.

They also wanted companies to supply more case studies that demonstrated investment benefits. A lack of consideration for a broader audience was found to be a key weakness in tech PR, according to the survey.

NOP’s World Technology Leaders Survey focused on perceptions of tech companies and how they could improve their corporate PR.
