MEDIA BRIEF: Groom to join Independent
THE INDEPENDENT: Danny Groom, deputy news editor of The Observer, is to join The Independent. He will be head of news, replacing news editor Mike Ellison, who quit last month after less than six months in the job. Meanwhile, Evening Standard features executive James Hanning is to join the Independent on Sunday as executive editor in charge of comment.
