Board director Mirella Cameran has moved from London as office MD, leading a start-up staff of four.
Red is part of the Incepta Group, which already offers various marketing services in North America, and the aim of Red’s New York office is to ‘fill a consumer and corporate PR gap in the group’s PR offer’, according to a launch statement.
Red’s UK-based chief executive David Fuller said: ‘Red New York is an obvious move for us, when 52 per cent of our client base already originates from the US.’
The US office plans to provide consumer, corporate, and B2B PR across the tech, financial, healthcare, consumer and retail sectors.
Cameran, who joined Red as an account director in 1996, said she wanted to ‘become familiar with the American psyche’, adding: ‘We genuinely believe we can be different, even in a competitive market such as New York.’
