MEDIA BRIEF: Ellison quits Independent
THE INDEPENDENT: Mike Ellison, The Independent news editor, has quit the paper after just five months in the job. Formerly home news editor of The Guardian, Ellison took up The Indie role in June. He replaced Adam Leigh, who moved to oversee the Review section. It is not thought that Ellison has a job to go to. The Independent, which recently started producing a daily tabloid version of itself within the M25 area, is rolling out the new format nationwide.
