MEDIA BRIEF: McCoy to join Breakfast show

BBC NEWS: Simon McCoy, currently a presenter on Sky News's Sunrise programme, is to join BBC One's Breakfast show early in 2004, deputising for existing presenters Dermot Murnaghan and Bill Turnbull. He will also work for the rolling news channel BBC News 24. McCoy began his journalism career at the Fleet Street News Agency in 1981 and joined Sky News at its launch in 1989. He was also a news editor at TV-am.
